![]() ![]() With the new Valguero map having a huge underwater cave network with no access to air pockets, i figured this would be useful information for a lot of people. Use Thatch instead of wood to light it, otherwise you'll end up with dye from your berries. You don't need it to make the chowder though, just throw everything in the pot and it works. I used to wear one scuba and carry 2 or 3 extra with me when i had my underwater adventures, but now i just bring the one. The recipe is a pretty common drop in caves & the ocean. Never ignore them or underestimate their possibilities. It is best to kill these if you are taming a tuso or any sea creature at the bottom of the sea. Another upside is that you can wear a strong armor chestpiece for 99% of the time while underwater so you take less damage. I got one shot knock from this where this thing was only level 150 on ark mobile. With just one scuba chestpiece, you can stay underwater for basically as long as you have Lazarus chowder. When you eat your last Lazarus chowder, start making your way back to the surface. Any of the cooked meat items above can be used when you want to cook Lazarus Chowder as long as there is enough in the cooking station. When your Lazarus chowder wears off, eat another one.(that is why you have to have a mount, to be able to eat underwater.) rinse and repeat. Below are the ingredients required for making Lazarus Chowder: 9 Cooked Meat, Cooked Fish Meat, or Cooked Meat Jerky. It is nice to have a higher than 200 oxygen stat, but not required.(i like having it at 300) When your Oxygen gets low, put the scuba chestpiece on, but only until your oxygen fills up, then immediately take it off again. Eat a Lazarus chowder and dive underwater. The trick is to *not* wear the scuba tank. A Beezlebufo and LC (with 2 points in oxygen) have allowed me to get to any underwater pearl cave and back up in one go. It will enable you more time to get away from something in the ocean. Up your oxygen a couple points too before using the LC. 3) As much Lazarus chowder as you can make. The Diplocaulus is also the poor man's scuba tank.
